10-08-2017 :  PG Assistants Posts can be filled up - Hon'ble Madras High Court. The Court has ordered the Government to follow 4% reservation for PH Candidates. So, TRB may publish the PG TRB Exam 2017 Result and issue the appointment orders except 140 posts which are coming under 4% reservation for PH candidates. So, it is expected that TRB PGT Exam result may be published at any time.

TRB Polytechnic College Lecturers Exam 2017 Notification Publised - Apply Online Now

Madras High Court Stays TRB PG Assistants Appointments. 

In a case filed by Mr.S.Namburajan, State Secretary of Disable Rights Association, the Honourable Madras High Court has stayed the PG TRB Appointments. But, the Court has  permitted the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board to process the PG TRB applications and conduct the examination but not to made any appointments. The case is again expected to be heard on  16th June 2017. It is noted that recently TRB has notified the PG TRB Exam 2017 for filling 1663 PG Assistants and Physical Directors vacancies and the Examination is scheduled to be conducted on 2nd July 2017.

Selection Procedure of PG Assistants and Physical Directors
There will be two successive stages in the PG TRB Exam selection process. Which are  written examination and  awarding of weightage marks during Certificate Verification. 

• After PG TRB Exam 2017 Results, the candidates will be called for certificate verification
• After Verification of Certificate, the total marks secured by each candidate will be calculated by adding weightage marks with the written examination marks.
• A PGTRB merit list will  be prepared by the Teachers Recruitment Board, Tamilnadu.
• Selection will be done based on the merit list and merit-cum-communal rotation published by TRB.

A Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed Degree. The educational qualification should be  10 + 2 + 3 pattern (SSLC, Plus Two, Degree).

18-04-2017 : TRB Post Graduate Assistant Exam 2017 Notification in 2nd Week of May 2017 - Information in TRB Annual Planner 2017

According to the Tamilnadu Teachers Recruitment Board's Annual Planner 2017, total number of vacancies in the upcoming PG TRB Exam 2017 notification will be nearly 2119, the official notification  for the TRB PGT Exam 2017 will be published in the second week of May 2017. The Tamilnadu PG Assistant Examination is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on 2nd July 2017 and the result of the PGT 2017 Examination will be published in August 2017.

30-03-2017 : 2100 PG Teachers to be recruited through written exam. Official notification from  TRB to be published soon - Dinathanthi News. There are 3600 Government Higher Secondary Schools in Tamilnadu. To fill the 2100 PGT vacancies in the Government Higher Secondary Schools at present, the Tamilnadu Teachers Recruitment Board will soon publish the written exam notification. 

More over, it is mentioned in the news paper news that the Tamilnadu Government is upgrading 1000 Government High Schools as Higher Secondary Schools, from the newly upgraded government schools, 1000 new PGT posts will be created. Among the new 1000 posts, 50% (500 posts) will be filled through promotion and remaining 500 posts will be recruited through TRB.

27-01-2017 : 3300 PGT Vacancies will be filled through upcoming PG TRB Exam 2017 - Hon'ble School Education Minister informed. The School Education Minister also conveyed that there are 1800 Post Graduate Teachers vacancies are already available in the Tamil Nadu Government Higher Secondary Schools from previous years and 1500 more Post Graduate Teachers vacancies will be created during year. 02-12-2016 : 1260 Arts Teachers Posts Recruitment Soon. The  official notification from the TRB will be published with in the end of December 2016 - School Education Director Mr.Kannappan informed.

How to Apply for Tamilnadu PG TRB Examination ?

(Based on 2014 TRB PGT Exam notification, fee details may change in the upcoming exam)

Step 1 : Purchase application form : Application form for the   TRB PGT Examination can be obtained from the Chief Education Officer's (CEO) Office in your District by paying Rs.50/- for application form fee.

Step 2 : Pay Examination Fee of Rs. 500 / - ( Rs.250 / - for SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates). The examination fee can  be paid at any branch of State Bank of India - SBI / Indian Bank / IOB banks. ( Find the fee payment chellan attached with the prospectus.)

Step 3 : Submit the filled  PGT Exam application at the concern CEO Office.

13-02-2016 : 1062 PGT Posts to be filled through Direct Recruitment by TRB. In a Government Order, dated 10-02-2016 found in the Kalvi Seithi website, the Tamilnadu Government has sanctioned total 2125 PGT vacancies for the academic year 2015-2016. Among them 50% posts are expected to be filled by direct recruitment through direct Examination by Teachers Recruitment Board and remaining posts will be filled through promotion from the existing BTs. 03-10-2015 : About 600 Post Graduate Assistants Vacancy in Tamilnadu Government Schools. PG TRB Exam 2015 Notification is expected to be published soon. TRB has already recruited about 1807 PG Teachers in Government Schools for the year 2013-2015. The previous year PGT exam 2014 notification  was published in the month of November 2014 and the Post Graduate Teachers Exam 2014 was conducted by Teachers Recruitment Board on 10th January 2014 . The announcement regarding the current year PG TRB Higher Secondary School Teachers Exam 2015 was expected in the School Education Maniakorikkai itself. But there was no such announcement, so we can expect the exam to be conducted in next year 2016.  

Now there is a news that there will be about 500 - 600 Post Graduate  Teachers vacancy this year and the proper notification from the Teachers Recruitment Board  will be published Soon.  The TRB PGT Examination  notification is expected after the GT to PGT promotions this year (2014-2015).  The PGTRB Exam date is expected to be as the same as previous year examination, most probably the notification will be published in 2015 and the examination may be conducted in the beginning of the next year (2016). 08-08-2015 : TRB withdraws the 762 Special Teachers in Government High / Higher Secondary Schools Recruitment Notification 2013 . New Competitive Examination Notification for the direct recruitment of Special Teachers is expected Soon from the TRB. 

TRB has published notification for the recruitment of 762 arts teachers in Tamilnadu Government Schools in the year 2013 . Following that, candidates selected through Employment Officers in 1:5 ratio and certificate verification also done for them. But, in a case against the recruitment, Honourable Madurai Bench of Madras High Court has stayed the Arts Teachers Recruitment through employment offices and ordered to recruit the Special Teachers through competitive examination as other TRB recruitments.

The newspaper article says that the  Teachers Recruitment Board of Tamilnadu has decided to conduct the Competitive Examination for filling up about 139 Assistant Professor Vacancies in Government Engineering Colleges of Tamilnadu . The examination may be conducted in the month of June 2015.

One of the higher officials from  Teachers Recruitment Board has informed today that there are about 1800 Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) to be recruited through  TRB in Tamilnadu. The official PG TRB Exam notification from the TRB is expected very soon. 

It is noted that the Post Graduate Teachers  written Exam will have 150 marks. 4 Marks for employment office registration seniority and 3 marks for teaching experience will be given. So there will be total 157 marks.
