14-05-2015 : TNPSC District Education Officer Exam 2014 Result Published in the TNPSC Official Website www.tnpsc.gov.in .  Totally, 3127 candidates have cleared the preliminary examination. 

DEO Main Examination Date will be  6,7 - August 2015.

11-06-2014 :  TNPSC has released tentative answer key for the TNPSC DEO Exam 2014  Click Here to download the answer key from tnpsc website www.tnpsc.gov.in 
 
09-06-2014 :  Only 50 % Candidates wrote TNPSC DEO Exam 2014 :  Among the 18,000 candidates who applied for the DEO Exam, only 9000 attended the exam conducted on 08-06-2014. The TNPSC DEO Exam Answer Key may be published with in one week as TNPSC does for other exams.

There are 67 Educational Districts in Tamilnadu. The Education Districts are governed by District Education Officers. The government has announced the Direct Recruitment of 11 DEOs through TNPSC.

Educational Qualifications 

1.Master’s Degree of any University in the State of Tamil Nadu or a Degree of equivalent standard with not less than 50% of Marks in the Master’s Degree Examination in any one of the following subjects:-Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry,Zoology, Botany, History & Geography (Provided that a candidate possessing a Degree of M.A or M.Sc.or an equivalent degree awarded under the grading system shall not be considered eligible for appointment unless he has obtained the said degree with “ O” or “A” or “B” Grade.)

AND

2. B.T. or B.Ed. Degree of any university in the State of Tamil Nadu or a degree of equivalent standard.

AND

3.Must have studied Tamil under Part-I or Part-II of the Intermediate or Pre-University or Higher Secondary Course
