Physcally Challenged Woman - Topper of IAS Examination

Ira Singhal from New Delhi became the first Physically Challenged candidates to achieve top rank in UPSC Civil Service Examiation. 

6th Rank for Tamilnadu Girl Ms.Charusree

Charusree is from Coimbatore. She has completed her Engineering Graduation from College of Engineering, Guindy (2012 Batch). She had prepared for Civil Service Examination at Shankar IAS Academy, Chennai.
Vaanmathi - Daugher of Car Driver gets 152 rank in IAS Exam 
Vaanmathi daugher of Senniappan(a car driver by profession) has completed her schoolings at Government Girls Higher Secodary School and did her B.Sc computer science. This her third attempt in the Civil Service Examination. Her achievement will be motivation for all Tamilnadu IAS Aspirants who dreams for higher positions from economically struggling backgrounds. She advised all IAS aspirants that with Hard Work and Persistant Efforts IAS Examination is achievable by anyone. 

According to newspaper reports, about 118 candidates from Tamilnadu have cleared IAS examination. 
Background of Civil Services IAS Exam 2014-2015 
  • Civil Serice Exam Preliminary Exam was conducted for total 1300 vacancies on 24-08-2014 and applied by nearly 9.45 lakh candidates all over India but attended by  4.51 lakh candidates only.
  • The IAS Preliminary Exam result was published on 14-10-2014. About 17000 candidates have passed in the Preliminary examination. 
  • The Main Exam for the 17000 candidates was held on 14-12-2015. 
  • About 3293 candidates have cleared the Civil Services Main Examination and called for the Interview. 
  • Now the final result of the candidates after interview is published by the UPSC.
