For TNTET Paper I Exam
  • Candidates have to cover all the portions (line by line) 6th to 10th Tamilnadu Samaseerkalvi Text Books.  
  • Underline important / new facts in the books and revise them frequently.
  • If you have note book, write down all new facts to your knowledge in that note book, use seperate note books for each subjects.

For TNTET Paper II Exam

  • You should cover all portions of  6th to 12th books.
  • Tamil has 30 marks weightage, so you should know meaning of each words in the Tamil Seyyul portion, Books, Authors, Nick Names etc. are the main points to be noted.
  • To face english portion which also cover 30 marks, you should know basic english grammer first, please cover all the english portions in the 6th to 12th standards text books.
  • Usually for mathematics area, which cover 30 marks, you should know all formulas and their applications, you should  practice the model questions in each chapters.
  • For science portion, candidates should give important to science laws, scientists, inventions, experiments etc.
  • For Child development and child development and pedagogy, candidates should cover B.Ed syllabus in that subject, that is enough.
  • If you are from arts subject stream, you should concentrate on 1 - 12th social science chapters. Importance must be given to history, civics, geography. Important years, wars, kingdoms, etc.

 How to Prepare for Tamilnadu Teachers Eligibility Test TNTET 2013 Exam
 
The notification for the Tamilnadu Teachers Eligibility Test TN TET 2013 is expected soon from the Teachers Recruitment Board, TRB.  If you have completed B.Ed or D.T.Ed degree , register your degree in the  Employment Office immediately.

TNTET Scheme of Examination or Exam Pattern

TNTET ( Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test ) has two papers. Each papers will have 3 hours of duration.
TNTET Paper 1

Paper 1 is for D.T.Ed qualified candidates, if a candidate having both D.T.Ed and B.Ed also can apply for this paper. This paper is for Primary School Teachers ( 1 - 5 th Std ). This paper is divided into 5 areas, each area will cover 30 questions and total questions will be 150.

Who can write TNTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 Exams ?


If a person who have completed both D.T.Ed and B.Ed degrees, he/she can appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 in the TNTET Exam.
Compulsary Books to be studied for TNTET Exam

Candidates appearing for TNTET Paper 1 should have a deep study over the 1st Std to 5th Std Samacheer Kalvi Books and should have also studied 6th to 8th Std Samacheer Kalvi Books. Candidates should also study their D.T.Ed course books like Psychology etc.

Candidates appearing for TNTET Paper 2 should cover 6th - 10th Std Samacheer Kalvi Books. Particulary should have a deep knowledge in their own major in those school books (Eg. Botany, Zoology, History etc). Candidates should also study their B.Ed course books like Psychology etc.


What is the Question Pattern of TNTET Exam ?

Tamilnadu Teachers Eligibility Test will have 150 Questions in Objective Type Mode (Multiple Choice).

What is the cutoff marks for the TNTET Paper 1 and TNTET Paper 2 Exams ?


Cutoff marks is decided by the Tamilnadu Government. It may be 60 % or 90  %.
Candidates who secure the cutoff marks defined by the Government only will be considered as successful in TNTET Exam.

22,269 Teachers to be recruited by Tamilnadu Government in 2013  

At present, there are plenty of teaching posts vacancies in the government schools. So all the candidates, who successfully clear the TNTET exam will be given Jobs immediately. But if there are more number of eligible candidates than the number of real Job vacancy, the government will follow these measures for the selection.

If D.T.Ed, their Plus Two Marks will be given extra points during the interview / counselling period.

If B.Ed, their Degree Marks will be be given extra points during the interview / counselling period.

or Government may take other measures to select the right candidates. It is fully depends on the governments decision.

3.If you have capacity, buy some other state TET Guide Books and National Teachers Eligibility Test, because all TETs have the same purpose to check the Eligibility of Teachers.
