Tamilnadu has about 7000 Nursary Primary Schools and 4500 Matriculation Schools. Recently government has appointed a committe under School Education Director Devarajan to check some standards of Private Schools in Tamilnadu. The report has to be submitted by the committee soon.
Now the government has sent notice to close about 900 Nursary Primary English Medium Schools in Chennai, Kanjipuram, Thiruvallur and Velur districts for their understandards in Land, Teachers facilities. This measure may be extended to other cities too.
It is noticed that the Tamilnadu Government has started English Medium Schools in government schools from this year onwards.
