Honourable Chief Minister Selvi J. Jayalalitha at her speech on the Police Award Function on 23.08.2013, has informed that she has ordered the Tamilnadu Government to fill the vacancies in the Tamilnadu Police.

The total vacancies - 14, 611

 Police Constable Gr 2 - 13,294

 Sub Inspector of Police - 886

 Sub Inspector of Police (Technical) - 234

Finger Print Assistants - 197

Special Youth Police  Brigade  - 10,500
