According to the Hindu Tamil newspaper, there will be 24000 government staff retiring this year. It is mentioned that this kind of bulk retirement is rare happening. Since 50% of the vacancies are filled up through direct recruitment, the government job seekers in Tamilnadu may get benifitted from this. 

The news says, 24000 retirements includes Teachers, Government Staff, Police, Lecturers etc. So we can expect more recruitments this year through Tamilnadu Government Recruitment Agencies like TNPSC, TRB and TNUSRB . It is notable that, the TNPSC in its annual planner released on 30-01-2015 have already mentioned recruiting about 10000 vacancies this year. Other agencies like TNUSRB and TRB also expected to publish the recruitment notifications soon.
