19-05-2015 : Case filed against Tamilnadu Lab Assistant Exam at Madurai High Court - Dinathanthi NewsThere is a latest case filed against the Tamilnadu Lab Assistant Exam 2015. The case was filed to insist the School Education Department to set up seperate question papers based on Tamilnadu State Board Old Syllabus and new Samacheerkalvi Syllabus. The Hon'ble Judge has ordered to send notice to the School Education Department and CEOs.

04-05-2015 : Till date 4.80 Lakhs candidates applied for Tamilnadu Government Schools lab assistant exam 2015. The total applicants before last date to apply online (06-5-2015) is expected above 6 lakhs , Dinamani News - 4-5-2015
School Education Department, Government of Tamilnadu has published notification for filling up 4360 Lab Assistants in the Government Schools through out Tamilnadu.
24-04-2015 : Online Application for Tamilnadu School Lab Assistant Exam 2015 is started today in all Government Exam Service Centres. (pls see the list of govt exam service centes below) Important Dates
Last Date to Apply online : 06-05-2015 ( Till Evenening 5 pm)
Examination Date : 31-05-2015 . (10am to 12.30pm)Education Qualification : SSLC ( 10th Std) Pass
Salary for TN School Lab Attendant : Rs.5200-20200/- Grade Pay Rs. 2400 (Per Month) (Nearly Rs.15000 /- first month pay)
Age Limit of TN Govt Lab Assistants Exam
Minimum Age Limit : 18 years for all categories
Maximum Age Limit :
SC, ST - 35 Years
BC, MBC – 32 Years
Others – 30 Years
How to Apply for Lab Attendants Exam 2015 ?
Candidates should apply online from the Government Examinations Service Centres only. (You can not apply from browsing centres) .
List of Online Registration Centres / Government Examination Centres for the Lab Assistant Exam 2015 and District wise Vacancy Details
Facility to take photographs is available at the Govt Exam Service Centres.
Candidates are asked to bring the Original and Xerox copies of the following Certificates.
1. SSLC /10th Certificate
2. Community Certificate
3. Employment Registration Card
4. Priority Certificate
5. Higher Education Certificates ( If any)
6. Experience Certificates (If any)Examination Fee
Examination Fee Rs.100 + Service Fee Rs. 50
(No examination fee for SC/ST, Destitute Widow and PH candidates)
Scheme of Examination / Exam Pattern
There will be screening test for the candidates. The selected candidates will be called for the interview in 1:5 ratio. Candidates selected in the interview will be provided appointment order.

Interview Process for TN Lab Assistant Exam 2015
Interview Board will be set up with School Education Depart Higher Officials of the respective districts like CEO, DEO etc.
Interview Marks - 25
Employment Seniority - 10 Marks
1-2 Years - 2 Marks
2-4 Years - 4 Marks
4-6 Years - 6 Marks
6-8 Years - 8 Marks
More than 10 Years - 10 Marks
Marks for Higher Education
Plus Two - 2 Marks
Graduate and Above - 3 Marks
Marks for Experience
If worked as Lab Assistant in Private or Government Schools - 5 Marks
Marks for Oral Test (Interview) - 8 Marks
