Arunachal Pradesh
chief minister Pema Khandu has demand for a separate time zone for
the northeastern states to improve work efficiency and save
electricity in the region. According to him, several daylight hours are getting
wasted as government offices opens only at 10am and closes as early as 4pm.

CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (SERC), Chennai, has
come up with a cost-effective toilet. The toilet is expected to be
set up in those areas where toilet coverage is not available. The toilet
has been built with the help of the textile reinforced concrete (TRC) panels. The
toilet will weigh less than 500kg and
will have a life span of 25-30 years.

first, three Indian institutions have found a place in the list of top 200
